SOLitude’s team of lake and pond management professionals has been supporting the communities they serve for over a decade. Our company-wide volunteer and community outreach program, The SOLution, embodies our commitment to giving back.
Since 2012, SOLitude colleagues have dedicated an impressive 27,086 volunteer hours to various community initiatives. In 2024 alone, this dedication reached 1,705 hours, demonstrating our continued commitment to making a positive impact. A few organizations our colleagues worked with this year include:
- Gladious Food Pantry
- StandUp for Kids
- Blessings Food Bank
- Harvesters Food Distribution, Worcester County Food Bank
- Toys for Tots
- Echo Global Farm
- Cardz for Kidz
- Guns n Hoses Pipes n Drums
The generosity of our colleagues extends beyond time. Since 2012, SOLitude has contributed over $551,855 in donations, including in-kind services and goods. In 2024, we were able to donate a total of $1,000, further solidifying our commitment to supporting local organizations.
Highlight Our Top Volunteers
All colleagues at SOLitude are encouraged to give back to their local communities in various ways. In 2024, a few team members went above and beyond, generating the most volunteer hours company-wide. A special shout-out goes to the top volunteers: Raquel Mason (FL), Accounts Receivable (559 hours), Flo Paterno (FL), Customer Service Representative (426 hours), Jim Kannenberg (WI), District Manager (157 hours), Anne Marie Troher (FL), Services and Contracts Administrator (26 hours), and Matthew Drake (FL), Certified Field Trainer (20 hours). Their dedication exemplifies the spirit of The SOLution.
Along with our colleague’s personal volunteering efforts, teams across the country united to support SOLitude’s annual volunteering events.
Recapping Annual Volunteering Initiatives for 2024
Heart and SOL Day, a company-wide day of service, saw over 100 colleagues dedicate 412 hours to improving 32 organizations and communities, including volunteering at Gladious Food Pantry, and conducting trash cleanups at Plainfield Park District, Loggers Run Park, the Town of Shrewsbury, and local waterways with New Jersey Fish and Wildlife and the Protect our Rivers organization.
The Kind SOLs Food Drive has become a heartwarming tradition at SOLitude. Founded in 2023, Kind SOLs is a company-wide food drive focused on supporting families in need during the Thanksgiving holiday. SOLitude colleagues are also encouraged to support their local food banks by packaging and serving food during the holiday season for up to 4 hours during the work day. In 2024, over 40 colleagues participated, donating over 135 volunteer hours and 500 pounds of food. This effort directly impacted over 1,500 individuals and families during the Thanksgiving season.
Some of the most impactful contributions came from the Massachusetts office, which donated over 300 pounds of food, the Fort Myers team, which supported over 800 local families, and the Virginia Beach colleagues, who provided food for 50 unprivileged youths through a local non-profit.
The Future of The SOLution Program
Looking ahead, SOLitude aims to further engage colleagues in volunteer activities and expand the reach of The SOLution. By fostering a culture of giving back, SOLitude is not only improving the communities we serve but also strengthening our own team through shared experiences and a sense of purpose.
